AREAS OF PRACTICE:

I. INDIVIDUAL
Ciaffaglione & Gardner, LLC offers a full range of services to individuals on federal, state and local tax issues. We provide day-to-day advice and long-range planning to help our individual clients develop sound tax strategies to meet their financial and estate planning goals. In addition to the preparation of income tax returns, we prepare gift, sales and use, intangible and similar tax returns for clients located throughout the country. We also assist our clients in settling matters with various taxing authorities.

We are an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) authorized Electronic Return Originator. This allows us to electronically file individual and business tax returns with the IRS and state tax departments for our clients.

II. BUSINESS
The firm provides extensive tax and accounting services for sole proprietorships, limited liability companies, partnerships and corporations located primarily in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Florida. Our clients are engaged in a broad spectrum of industries including manufacturing, retail sales, product distribution and construction. The firm also services a number of personal and professional service organizations including veterinarians, engineers, attorneys, physicians and real estate professionals. We advise our business clients on a wide variety of issues including financing, business formation, capital structure, stock acquisitions and dispositions.

Ciaffaglione & Gardner, LLC prepares all types of federal and state business income tax returns as well as property, sales and excise tax returns.

III. ESTATE, TRUST AND PROBATE
A significant portion of the firm's practice is providing a full scope of services in the areas of estate, trust and probate matters.

We assist our clients in planning for the financial security of their families while minimizing estate, gift and generation-skipping taxes. This includes working with the owners of closely-held businesses to coordinate the business ownership succession with the client's overall estate planning objectives.

Ciaffaglione & Gardner, LLC offers assistance with estate administration including post-mortem tax planning, preparation of estate tax returns, fiduciary income tax returns, probate documents, and tax advice for beneficiaries. The firm also provides tax and accounting services in association with the establishment and maintenance of a variety of trusts.
