MARK S. CIAFFAGLIONE, CPA, MST is a graduate of the University of Connecticut, obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in May, 1985, and of the University of Hartford with a Masters of Taxation Degree in January, 1997. Mark, a native of New Britain, Connecticut, joined the firm as a principal in June 2001. His thirty plus years in public accounting has provided a solid basis for his current focus in the areas of accounting and taxation for individuals and closely held businesses, with an emphasis on estate and trust planning, administration, taxation, and probate compliance. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants, an active member and past director of the Estate and Business Planning Council of Hartford, Inc., a current member and past chairman of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants Trust, Estate and Gift Taxation Committee, and a director of the New Britain High School Foundation. Mark lives in Newington with his children, Olivia and Robert.
BETH I. GARDNER, CPA is a graduate of the University of Southern Maine, obtaining a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting in May, 1986. A native of South Thomaston, Maine, she became a principal in June 2019. Since obtaining her degree, she has worked in public accounting in the areas of accounting and taxation for individuals and closely held businesses, with an emphasis on estate and trust planning, administration, taxation, and probate compliance. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants, and previously served on the Board of Trustees for the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants Education Trust Fund. She volunteers as a member of the Board of Directors of Cedar Hill Cemetery in Hartford where she is presently serving as Chair of the Audit Committee.
